The ZO 3 step peel is a highly effective medium strength peel which treats acne, hyperpigmentation, dull skin and large pores.

 

3-Step Stimulation Peel from ZO Medical is designed to exfoliate the top layers of skin and stimulate cellular function in the skin’s deeper layers significantly improving skin health and treat many signs of skin ageing. Evens skin texture for softer, smoother, tighter looking skin.

 

PROCEDURE

This is a Medical Grade Procedure and takes around 30 minutes.

 

Step 1 – This is the application of the peel solution itself. A blend of salicylic, trichloroacetic, and lactic acids.

Step 2 – Stimulating Retinol Creme. This is applied after the peel solution and works to stimulate cellular function at a deep level for collagen enhancement, firming, and wrinkle reduction.

Step 3 – Application of the Hydrating Cream post procedure for skin relief. This cream is used as a finishing product to minimise any inflammation and irritation that may result after the first two steps and restore moisture.

 

After the peel, your skin may have a yellow tone, which is completely normal and when you wash your face the next day, this will have disappeared. You may also notice your skin begin to lightly peel the next day, but this will generally last for 5-7days.

 

SCIENCE

The peel is a synergistic blend of:

Salicylic acid 15% – Antibacterial, reducing oil production

Lactic acid 5% – Softens and dissolves excess skin layers

Trichloroacetic acid 10% – Reduces fine lines, discoloration and improves skin texture.

 

AFTEREFFECTS

Right after your treatment, it is normal if we experience effects such as redness, dryness, itchiness, stinging, tightness, and mild swelling. Our skin naturally begins its exfoliation process, peeling or flaking and starts two to three days after the treatment, lasting up to five days. However everyones skin is different and this can vary due to the persons sensitivity.

 

AFTERCARE

Avoid heat treatments and excessive sweating until skin has fully healed. Mineral makeup can be applied. No facial treatments, laser or waxing until the skin has fully healed.
